Four of us ate at Mooncussers this weekend. We arrived on time for our 7:00 reservation and were seated right away. The dining room was fairly busy but not full. Only one person ordered an appetizer, which came quickly with the bread. By 8:00 we were hungry, and our waitress said the food was coming right out. Another 30 minutes passed without anyone acknowledging the delay. We watched people who arrived after us finish eating and leave, so I asked the hostess to check on our meals. They came out soon after, 90 minutes after we sat down. The food was hot, so our table had clearly been forgotten, despite being told after an hour it was on its way. The food was excellent: the pork chop was very moist, with a crispy char and fantastic herb butter, and the potatoes and Brussel sprouts were excellent too. Everyone else at our table enjoyed their meals as well. They offered us another glass of wine on the house, but by then we just wanted to finish and leave. I thought they might comp the wine we'd already had, but they didn't. Five enthusiastic stars for the food, one disappointed star for the service.

I've wanted to try this place for a long time. The food and service were very good, but the menu is very small and it's EXPENSIVE. Two people paid $200 including tip for three drinks and no appetizers or desserts. Far too expensive! Also, the parking lot is very dark and needs more light. It's dangerous for older people.

We’ve been going to Mooncussers since 2020, and every visit has been good. The food and drinks are always delicious and a little different, and the service and atmosphere are hard to beat. Last night, they helped make my engagement to my longtime girlfriend special by arranging a private room for six. Luis looked after us, and the whole staff made the evening possible. Thank you!

The food didn’t work for me. My salmon arrived raw even though I’d specifically asked for it well done, and the halibut risotto was bland, with white fish on white risotto and a bit of beet puree off to the side. The menu seems like it’d be tough for kids, but I found it tough for the adults too.

We got together for a family dinner the night before my son's wedding. The service was superb, and the food was excellent. Hope we can visit again someday!
