Downtown Hastings is an easy walk from the Grand Motel, with plenty of local shops and good places to eat nearby. It was quiet and peaceful during my stay, and felt like great value for money. I was pleasantly surprised on my Nebraska road trip. The front desk gave me a warm welcome, and check-in took just a couple of minutes, which I appreciated after a long drive. The room was clean and cozy. The interior has a bit of a retro feel, but it suits the classic roadside motel charm.

The owner was extremely helpful, and the continental breakfast is available if you request it. He said that helps keep costs down, and at least you know the coffee is fresh. For the money, it’s a good deal: the room was clean, everything worked, and the bed was great. I slept really well. If you just want a clean place to sleep without spending a lot, this is a good fit. I’d stay again, no problem.

It’s quiet, all on one level, and the staff are very nice. Fast food is just 3-6 blocks away. The beds are nice, showers have good pressure, and rooms have a fridge, microwave, soap, shampoo, and conditioner. DON’T GO TO RAINBOW HOTEL. 2.4 RATING MAN IS MONEY HUNGRY

The room was filthy. There was a used toothbrush in the shower, half-used shampoo, an unswept bathroom, and nasty stuff all over the walls. And there was a crack/meth/drug scale in my side table! I had to leave just as I was settling in, and I’m five months pregnant. I got no money back, and the office people were very rude when I told them what I’d found. Horrible experience. I’m livid and will never stay there.

We liked it enough to book a second night while visiting family. The owner was great to talk with and made for a comfortable vibe. Thanks for a wonderful motel stay, with a nice bed and a clean, well-maintained room and bathroom.
