Home2 Suites by Hilton Hattiesburg

The staff were really nice whenever we talked with them at check-in, while buying things, or asking about pool table amenities. We didn't try the breakfast, so I can't comment on it. Our room was spacious, but dated and in need of an upgrade. The bed was uncomfortable for my personal preference, there was hair along the shower walls, and the furniture felt grungy, like it hadn't been cleaned. For a HomeSuite, I expected more based on my stays at other Hilton Suites. The location, services, looks, and general feel of the hotel all came across as pretty “meh.”

The shower was the biggest letdown. It never got hot, just stayed lukewarm, and the bathroom smelled kind of off. There was strange rust above the bathroom door, along with a rusty hair. Never seen a rusty hair before, but there you go. The room felt a little dirty, and the bathroom really needs to be spotless. Still, it was a nice night overall, with easy access to our venue and a great breakfast with lots of options. It wasn't terrible. Later, dawg.

We were in Hattiesburg for a night on our way to New Orleans, and this Home2 Suites made us very happy with our choice. The suite actually had a separate bedroom with a door, which is nice to find in a hotel suite. Our room was well kept, and the staff I dealt with were friendly and competent. I thought breakfast was tasty and well stocked, despite seeing some complaints about it. I'm not sure what people expect. I skipped photos since the ones already in the reviews and on the hotel's website show what my pictures would have shown.

The lobby has plenty of snacks and other offerings, and the property is well kept. Rebecca at the front desk was amazing and gave great customer service. Clean, friendly, and a great breakfast. If you're in the area, you won't be disappointed.
