Breakfast and good conversation with the hosts and other guests were a lovely part of our stay. The Bricktown has been restored beautifully, keeping its historic feel while still offering the modern comforts we expect. Our hosts made us feel very welcome. We even enjoyed hearing the trains go by, a little reminder of another era. Earplugs and a white noise machine were there if we needed them. It made for a perfect getaway.

We shared a delicious homemade breakfast with the other guests in the morning. We stayed in the Peck Room, which had lovely furniture, a private bath, and everything was spotless. The trains nearby sound their horns pretty loudly, but earplugs were provided, so it ended up not being an issue.

The train station is close, so you do hear trains pass a few times during the day and night. They didn't bother me or shake the house, though. We could walk to shops and restaurants in downtown Haverstraw and the beautiful Hudson River waterfront, just a few blocks away. The front porch has a swing and lots of comfortable chairs, with lovely homes across the way, so it was a great spot to read and unwind. The back yard is beautiful too. Michelle and Joe have water, sodas, cookies, and Keurig hot drinks available around the clock, which I really appreciated. Breakfast was filling and delicious, and I enjoyed chatting with the owners and other guests. We had a wonderful stay in their beautifully decorated home.

Joe and Michelle were wonderful hosts, attentive to even the little details, and the food during our stay was fabulous. Bricktown Inn has an elegant, luxurious feel, with traditional Victorian decor. It would make a lovely weekend away with your partner, and it's also well placed for local spots like Hudson River eateries and marinas, the GARNER Arts Center, Rockland Boulders Stadium, or trips farther north to Bear Mountain and West Point. Highly recommend it.

A really nice B&B with cozy rooms and sweet owners. Breakfast had good offerings, but the scones were undercooked and the eggs weren't fully done. It could use more cooking time.
