Amy made us feel at home, helped us out in a pinch with our family picnic and barbecue, and told us stories about the resident beavers. The location is great, right across from Lake Wally with its own dock, next to Chops Restaurant, which is delicious and a bit upscale for the area, and Wally’s Pizzeria, which is very unfancy but also delicious. The Mexican food there is good too. The rooms are very basic, so it can take some getting used to if you don’t know that ahead of time. Still, it beats camping, says this non-camper. Service is wonderful. My Mom’s family stayed at Gresham’s Lake View Motel year after year in the 50s and 60s.

Amy was so helpful and sweet, and the beds were comfortable. We had a very pleasant stay at Gresham's, with a nice lake view and balconies at both the front and back of the room. Thanks for a great vacation.

The shower was clean, which we were thankful for, but the bathroom only had hand soap at the sink, with no small shampoo or conditioner bottles. The room was dusty enough to set off my allergies badly. The beds were uncomfortable, with the mattress sitting on plywood, and toilet paper hadn’t even been put in the dispenser. The heat unit sensor was broken: the room was freezing when we checked in with the heat off, then reached around 90° after we set it to 70°. Only one fan setting worked. I slept terribly and woke with a very dry, painful throat, so I had to run the shower to add moisture to the air. The manager seemed annoyed whenever we interacted. No one was in the office, so I had to call the number on the door to check in and out. When I called for remote batteries and extra towels, the manager brought them over without eye contact or a word, seeming annoyed. We stayed two nights in November 2024 and paid over $90 a night, which was the winter price. I expected better for that cost. It wasn’t worth it, and we won’t return.

We’ve been coming to Gresham's for years, and it’s our go-to when we visit the lake. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and you can walk to eateries, trails, and the visitor center. The balcony is a great spot for sunsets.
