After five nights here, I asked the front desk about extending my stay. They said the weekly rate for 2/12-2/18 had gone from $700 to $1,400, so it had doubled. I booked the same room online for $656 using my veteran status and got a confirmation. When I went to ask about keeping the room, the desk said my reservation had been cancelled. They said it was overbooked. I believe they cancelled it because they wanted to charge a higher rate. I won’t stay again.

I stayed ten nights, and because of the deposits I’d paid, I wanted to be sure checkout was recorded properly and that there wouldn’t be unexpected charges. I came down around 3:45 AM for an early flight. A sign said the front desk was assisting other customers, so I waited about five minutes, then knocked and called out. After another ten minutes with no answer, I called the hotel. About fifteen minutes in, an Asian girl came out and was quite rude. She said she’d been on break and that I should have kept waiting or just left my card. She also said she needed another fifteen minutes before she could check me out and give me a receipt. The situation could have been handled much more politely and professionally.

I spent several months here for work, and that’s the kind of stay this place suits. It’s basic, but every room has a kitchenette with a full-size fridge and dishwasher, and the laundry is free. It’s close to LAX and fairly easy to get around from there.
