The rooms were clean and modern, and there’s a good restaurant and bar in the hotel. My first night was disrupted by a neighbor whose TV was loud enough that I could hear the words in my room at 5 am. They got upset when asked to turn it down, but the front desk promptly moved me, so my second night was peaceful. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and I really appreciated how quickly they handled it. I’d recommend staying here.
Rhiley at the bar made this a great stay. His service was the kind I’d expect at a Curio or Canopy, the upscale Hilton properties, and we may call ahead next time to see if he’s working. The room was clean and spacious, and the restaurant was decent. It’s a nice hotel just off the highway, and we’ll stay here again when we’re in Hays.
The place looks pretty, but it feels like corporate strategy has ruined it, like snuggling with a robot. It’s the most expensive room in town, yet there’s no coffee or breakfast included. The included Wi-Fi is so slow you can’t stream YouTube or Netflix.
Food and service were good, the rooms were large and clean, and there are loads of both 110V and USB outlets. It’s very pet friendly, too. There’s a Blink EV charger onsite, a 6 kW J1772, at $0.45/kWh. That feels like a ripoff when it’s half the speed of my home charger, which costs me $0.07/kWh, and DC fast charging is only $0.33/kWh. One charger also seemed stuck booting up. One elevator wasn’t working, but there was no sign saying so. There were quite a few staff members who didn’t speak English.
The room was quiet, spotless, and comfortable, just what I needed to rest after a long day. They also had a thoughtful grab-and-go breakfast. I was really grateful for the warm welcome and good service. This is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at, and I’m looking forward to coming back.
