Super 8 By Wyndham Hayward Downtown

The room was advertised as non-smoking, but it smelled strongly of cigarettes and weed. There were stains on every wall and even the drapes, and the sheets had cigarette burns. The smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were missing from the ceiling, cable TV didn't work, and the clothing rack was rusty. The place looked and smelled like it had been used as a meth lab. I only slept for two hours before heading out on a long drive home. When I told the front desk clerk at checkout that the room was disgusting, all he asked was whether I wanted a receipt. He offered nothing else. I wondered why housekeeping would make a bed with burned sheets. The place needs new management and housecleaners. Writing to Wyndham Hotels made no difference, either. Lesson learned, I'll never stay at any Super 8's again.

The staff are nice and really helpful, and the maids are pleasant and do whatever you ask. I've never had a problem with my room being dirty or smelly.

Someone booked this hotel under my name, so I had to cancel it. The front desk said I'd get a refund, but nothing has come back to me. Even after I reported the fraud to my bank, Super 8 told them I had stayed there, which isn't true. They haven't helped at all. They just took my $300 and ran. Terrible service, and thanks a lot for the help, Super 8.

Management seems on top of things, and I thought the place was wonderful. Abhi especially went out of his way to look up the pricing I asked about. I'd stay here again if I were in the area.
