Holiday Inn Hazlet by IHG

I wouldn't recommend this place. We paid $700 for two nights, and it was a disaster: the shower was broken, the toilet wouldn't flush, and repeated complaints didn't get either fixed. No housekeeping came during our stay. The vending machines were empty, drinks at the restaurant next door were overpriced, and one machine even had expired soda. The staff were rude and unhelpful, and there was no manager available. They handed me a business card and sent me on my way. We were offered another room, but moving a family of four halfway through the stay wasn't realistic. The whole place was a mess.

The HVAC fan is very loud, which may bother some people, though I didn't mind it. The rooms smell a little musty because the windows face the hallway, so you can't get fresh air in. They used to open onto the outside, but a renovation enclosed them for better security. That's a plus for me, though others may see it as a downside.

We've stayed in plenty of high-end hotels that cost 8-900 hundred a night, and this experience was right up there with them. The receptionist was very nice, and the room could work if you're in a pinch. But my "premium" room didn't feel premium: the bathroom lighting was poor and parts of it were damaged. Rooms facing the inner courtyard feel strange because the only thing outside the window is a hallway. I wouldn't stay again if I were looking for a high-quality room.
