H2Hotel

You’re half a block from the town square, and Healdsburg spa is part of the hotel group, with massages just a block away. The staff were exceptionally nice, and the rooms and beds comfortable. Hardwood floors throughout give it a modern feel, though they can make things a bit cold. There’s never a shortage of fun things to do.

The location made it easy to walk to everything downtown, and the wineries are really close. We liked our two-night stay at H2 hotel, especially since it was affordable compared with other hotels nearby. The included continental breakfast wasn’t much to write home about, but we had no complaints. We’d definitely stay again.

Dinner options are delicious and the hotel is dog-friendly, which were the best parts for me. Breakfast was less successful: the extra-charge hot eggs and potatoes were bland and unseasoned, and the so-so continental buffet was mostly gone by 8:30. It took several requests to get it replenished. The rooms need more outlets and flat surfaces, especially in the bathroom. The new pillows are huge and very heavy, and flatten down like cement. We asked for and got two regular pillows. The focus on looking “cool” seems to come at the expense of guest comfort.

You can’t beat the location, right by the square and within walking distance of everything. The hotel is modern and very clean, with a lively but relaxed lounge. The pool area was pleasant, and guests can also use the Harmon Guest House pool. The staff were the friendliest I’ve ever encountered. Ellie at the front desk made check-in and the stay even better. I mentioned I’d left my dog’s bed in the car, and they said they had beds and bowls. When I got to the room, both were already there. Such a thoughtful touch. My room was spacious, quiet, and carefully set up. I appreciated the little stool in the shower for shaving, hooks by the door, different lighting options, plenty of closet space, and a steamer. The bed was comfortable, and the balcony was nice for my small dog to lie in the sun.
