Montage Healdsburg

Compass Sports was a highlight. I rented a bike to explore the property with my kid, and we borrowed a guitar too. Little touches like that added a lot to the stay. Hazel Hill also stood out: delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere and an absolutely stellar team. The whole resort feels calm, with beautiful grounds and thoughtful design. The One Bedroom Deluxe Vineyard suite was worth the splurge. Everyone I met was attentive, warm and full of positive energy. You can tell they care about their guests. I’ve stayed at almost every high-end property out there, and Montage is at the top for me. The stay, service and ambience are unmatched. Without a doubt, one of the best properties anywhere.

The staff really made this place for us, especially the valet, bartender, and spa teams. The concierge was a big help while we planned our trip, too. The property is laid out so nicely, and the rooms were modern and spotless. We liked the food, though it would be nice to have more variety between the different spots. Can't wait to return.

We’d happily come back in a heartbeat. The room was fabulous, and that view! The staff were wonderful, the food was so good, and the bar was fantastic. Caitlin makes a mean martini and stuffs the blue cheese olives by hand. Rain kept us from enjoying the grounds and activities like archery, and I wish they offered something like horseback riding. My only little quibble was the weak shower pressure, probably because it’s an open European-style shower with only a half glass partition.

We visited in February, during low season, and it was lovely and quiet, which I really enjoyed. The place is beautiful, with modern, elegant rooms, a comfortable bed, and top-notch service. It's on the pricier side, but well worth it.
