The grounds were peaceful and laid back, a nice place to unplug from city life. Being able to get to the Russian River for swimming and fishing made our visit even more special. Everything was very clean and thoughtfully kept, and it felt comfortable and relaxing from the moment we arrived. The shared spaces were roomy, with lots of tables, filtered hot water, and a washing area. They also had grills and propane available in the common areas, which made outdoor meals easy. Free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate were a welcome touch, especially in the morning. The bathrooms had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, plus hot and cold showers. I appreciated that the facilities were ADA friendly. Glamping at its finest, with great amenities for a nature escape.

We had a quiet weekday visit and enjoyed the slower pace, nature, and some stargazing. Just keep in mind there’s road noise nearby, as the description says. They provide earbuds for light sleepers. If you’re watching your budget, I’d suggest one of the cheaper or mid-range accommodations. It was my first time glamping at Sonoma, and I loved it. The glamps, restrooms, showers, morning coffee, and stores were all diligently maintained, making for a nice mix of nature, camping, and comfort.

Our first camping trip with our two young kids turned out to be such a special family experience. We’ll absolutely be back. The management and staff were welcoming and incredibly accommodating, and the care they put into the property really impressed us. Everything seemed thoughtfully planned to make the stay comfortable and easy. Wildhaven exceeded all our expectations.

We’d already paid for two cots for the reservation, but when we went into the tent to sleep, there was only one. The next morning, we told the staff, and instead of apologizing for the mix-up, he said we should have reported it the night before and that they couldn’t know whether we used one cot or two. He kept going on about it and seemed to imply I was lying. How could we use two when they had only put in one? We didn’t care about paying another $30, especially after spending $800 for two nights. They didn’t even need to refund anything; a simple apology would have been fine. I don’t believe the customer is always right, but blaming guests for the staff’s mistake, or accusing them of lying, is something I’ve never experienced, even at the cheapest, most modest place, let alone somewhere in the heart of Sonoma. The front desk staff were rude and disrespectful. I would never return and would strongly tell my friends to stay away.

The river access was awesome, and we made friends with a couple of other families with kids. I went with my family and our 4-year-old toddler. It was his first time, and he really liked it. The place was clean, with facilities and space for cooking and cleaning, and the restroom was close by and very clean. This is the best glamping I’ve done so far. We’ll be back soon.
