White Moose Lodge

It was one of the less expensive places in the area, and being set back from things made it fairly quiet. Those were about the only positives for me. We spent one night while visiting Denali, and I found the place pretty average. The beds were small, not even queen size, and not especially comfortable. Wi-Fi was spotty, and the shower’s hot and cold faucets were switched. Honestly, you may be better off staying somewhere else.

The room was clean and close to popular restaurants, about a 15-minute drive from Denali National Park. We bought groceries at a store five minutes away and used the owner’s outdoor gas grill to make dinner. There’s a silver trash tank near the office, which made cleanup after our picnic easy. Room service isn’t provided daily. If you need the room cleaned, you have to tell the office.

The woods had a nice view, and I even saw some moose, but my room was dusty despite reviews mentioning cleanliness. It was also noisy, since it’s close to the highway. The green leaf-shaped soap felt like play dough to use, so please consider replacing it. Some improvements are needed.

For the price, it’s a good hotel in a good location. The interior was immaculate, a very pleasant surprise. Wi-Fi was poor, especially in rooms farthest from the office, which sits in the middle of the row of rooms. It definitely needs upgrading.
