Country Inn & Suites by Carlson Deer Valley

I only stayed one night, but slept comfortably and had a good experience with the staff at both check-in and checkout. The rooms are pretty good and large, and the reception hospitality was great. My only complaint was the heater, which was temperamental and noisy even with the fan on low. Otherwise, it’s a nice place. There are plenty of dining options across the highway, about a 3-minute drive away.

We arrived late needing a place to stay, and the staff were very helpful. The room had a king size bed with four pillows, and it was really comfortable. There was also a nice TV, a desk and office chair, and a comfy chair in the corner. They have an indoor pool, though I didn’t go look at it. Checkout was at 11am.

The rooms are a bit small, but this is a nice hotel. We had to get our fridge fixed because it wasn’t working. There’s a pleasant 5 foot deep pool beside a hot tub, plus free guest laundry with just two washers and dryers. The complimentary breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold items, including eggs, biscuits, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, juice, and cereal. It’s next to the airport, with In and Out burger and Wendy's nearby.

I’ve been here since Monday, it’s Wednesday now, and I leave Friday. So far, it’s been great for my work trip, including the conference room, which has a wet bar. There’s a separate living area in the room, with a mini fridge, microwave, and sink. The staff are kind, the room is clean, the bed is comfy, and the breakfast is yummy. They also have free cookies and fruit in the lobby, plus hot coffee and tea. I haven’t used the pool because of my job, but it looks fantastic. If you’re bothered by frayed carpet or a faucet that needs a little jiggle, this may not be your place. For what I was looking for, it’s a good stay.
