Penny's Diner is very close by, and the hotel owns it, so there's tasty food nearby. I also really liked the gazebo as a spot to watch sunrise or sunset. Our room was roomy, clean, and comfortable, and everyone on staff was kind and patient. When I asked for towels, they brought them to the room quickly, which I appreciated.

I've stayed in room 111 twice. Both times it had a bit of a damp, wet-carpet smell, but otherwise things were good. The rooms are clean, the laundry comes back clean, and the air conditioners work. Service is prompt, parking is usually plentiful, and there's a diner in the same lot that's open all the time.

A bed bug on the mattress was the last straw. I reported it, and the front desk offered another room but didn't apologize. I spent three nights here and couldn't get proper sleep because a high-pitched alarm started beeping about every 30 seconds in the early morning. It began at 3:30 a.m. and was still going at 7:00 during my stay. The cleaning crew knew about it and ignored it. Check-in at the front desk also takes at least 15 minutes per person.

We only needed a night, checking in around 10 p.m., and I wouldn't choose this place again. The beds were comfortable, but everything else felt very basic, and the motel seemed old and a little sketchy. Some rooms open outside and others face inward. The door frames were rusty, there's no elevator, and there isn't even a coffee area. They seem to be trying to update it, with nice carpet and granite sink counters and microwaves in the rooms, but plenty still feels dated.
