Holiday Inn Express Heber City by IHG

I was really happy with my room and would absolutely stay here again. It was spacious, with a big sofa that could be made into a bed, plus a large bathroom with a shower and tub. There were plenty of towels and toiletries, and even makeup remover wipes, a hair dryer, and an iron and board. The bed was comfortable, and the coffee and tea station, mini fridge, and microwave were handy. The pool and hot tub were available, and breakfast was included. Parking was close, the keys worked, and the concierge was nice. Everything was easy to find, and I had no complaints.

The free breakfast and pet area were nice extras. Penny and Thlesa at the front desk, along with Vickie in the kitchen, were kind and helpful, and took their work seriously. The hotel was clean and quiet, and the friendly staff made our stay relaxing.

The room was larger than we expected and was good, and the evening and night staff were helpful. At breakfast around 7, I asked about checking out at noon instead of 11 because we had a football game. The employee asked for my room number and said late checkout wasn't available, which was fine. But when we came back at 10:40 to get our things, the door had already been locked with all our belongings inside. I waited five minutes for the front desk employee to reactivate my key, and we still left before 11. Since I'd asked about a late checkout, I can't help wondering if they expected us to return after 11 and locked us out to make us ask for the door to be opened. It was very inconvenient, and our room shouldn't have been locked before checkout time. Do better.

We stopped here at the last minute while passing through. The front desk was friendly, and the room was clean and nice. The bed and pillows were really comfortable, and there was a good coffee station and a desk. They even had proper hand soap in the room, more than I usually see at hotels. Definitely recommend it.
