The Abbé House Inn

The house is quiet and comfortable, and there’s enough room and privacy that you never have to socialize with other guests if you don’t want to. We’ve stayed at this family-run B&B twice, and the hosts have been friendly and accommodating both times. The location works really well for boating on the lake, fishing on the river, or nearby hikes. Other guests have always been friendly too, and breakfast is a great start to the day. It’s excellent value.

We’ve rented the whole house twice for family trips and would happily come back. It’s in a quiet spot close to town, the river, and hiking. The rear patio is huge, with a large covered section for bad weather, and the dining room seats 16 without extra chairs. There are 10 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. All the bathrooms have tubs, but only a few have regular showers; the others have shower attachments to use while standing in the tub.

We’ve held our family gathering here for the second year now. The owners are super nice, and the house is amazing. It was clean, ready for us, and stocked with some useful items. The only strange thing for me is that the bedrooms don’t have dressers, but it didn’t affect our enjoyment. I’d definitely recommend it.

We stopped here for a short stay while fishing in the area. The welcome was friendly, the room was quiet, and we enjoyed a simple breakfast outside in a peaceful setting. I’m not usually into B&Bs, but this was a great experience and very affordable.
