Regal Inn

We left and found another hotel after the second room also turned out to have bed bugs and roaches. We’d asked to switch rooms because the first one had dead bugs on the floor, spiders in the tub, and water that smelled metallic. The internet was poor, too. At first glance the room had looked clean, but those problems quickly changed our minds.

The beds were comfortable, the service was second to none, and I felt I got my money’s worth. The sign mentions free HBO, but there are also loads of satellite channels. I’d post pictures of the room, except the beds are messed up. Still, the place is so clean you could eat off the floor. Phill was genuinely one of the nicest people I’ve met. Before I paid, he offered to show me the room. You couldn’t tell from outside how nice it was inside. I asked him directly if there were bugs, and he said absolutely not, that he hadn’t seen one. My day turned out great.

I didn’t stay there, just dropped someone off with Uber late at night. The road to the inn is awful to drive on, but I wasn’t going fast when an employee came over and told me to slow down because kids and animals were around. I didn’t see a reason for that.

I can’t comment on the rooms because I never got that far. I called several times about renting for a few months while I try to save money. The gentleman I spoke with repeatedly quoted $360 after tax for seven days, and I agreed. But when I went to get the room after work Friday, the woman said it would be $396 for the week after tax. I’m not paying that; I can get an extended stay for just a few dollars more.
