After a big morning at Watkins Glen State Park, I stopped at this winery on my way up to Geneva. It was my second stop, and I’d stayed at the Inn the night before, so I got a free tasting. Brute De Brut and Revolution Red were my favorites, followed by Cab Franc, Sparkling Rose, and Cab Sav.

The lake view was amazing, and all five wines we tried were good. There was a big selection, but the Blueberry was probably the best I’ve had anywhere. If you like sweet wines, I’d HIGHLY recommend ordering it. The only reason I didn’t rate the winery five stars was the service. The woman helping us barely made eye contact while describing each wine, and then quickly moved on to the next one.

The Finger Lakes were beautiful for our mini-moon, and the hotel’s balcony had a lovely view. The location was ideal, close to the main attractions. Breakfast, though, was just so-so.

It was my first wine tasting, and our server was so friendly. We each tried five different wines, then sat on the deck with a glass and a gorgeous lake view. I highly recommend this winery, 10/10.

Through the VIP experience with Lakeside Trolley, my husband and I took part in a wine tasting and a class about glassware. This is the oldest winery in the area, and it’s a beautiful place with welcoming, friendly staff. We had a private session about how the shape of a glass can affect wine for better or worse. It was really informative, and I recommend it so others can learn about it too. Seneca Lake looked beautiful from there.
