If negative stars were possible, I’d use them. We stayed last December 2025. The sheets were dirty, the toilet seat wasn’t attached and moved around, the microwave was broken, lights were out, and the TV had a line down the middle. The beds were awful, and it seemed like trash wasn’t picked up every day. The one good thing was Ruth, the sweet woman at the front desk. See the attached pictures. Management, no, I don’t appreciate your response to my detailed feedback, and I don’t believe you regret hearing about my bad experience. My comments aren’t valuable to your improvement if you won’t listen. I’m not contacting management directly. Do better!

The location was convenient, but that was the only real positive for us. We paid over $500 for a short family weekend and felt we had to sit silently in our room. It was unfair and left a terrible impression. The room was dirty, the bathroom horrid, and a bad smell lingered everywhere. The whole property smelled of cigarettes, with butts scattered all over. After a long day out, who wants to shower and feel even dirtier? The price just wasn’t worth it. The walls are paper thin. I woke several times to guests talking, which wasn’t their fault, just poor insulation. It seemed like many people live there long-term, which is fine, but paying guests shouldn’t be placed right beside permanent residents. Someone who clearly lived there complained about us twice, even though we were being respectful. Just after 7 pm, my husband, kids, and I were quietly playing a game when there was a knock at the door. A 10-year-old girl had been sent to deliver a noise complaint. She looked terrified, and I felt awful for her. I just said “okay, thank you” and shut the door, but sending a child to guests’ rooms is unacceptable and unsafe. You never know who’ll be inside, and I can’t understand why anyone would take that chance with her. This place has potential if management would deep clean the rooms, remodel the bathrooms, upgrade the furniture, separate permanent residents from short-term guests, and have proper staff handle guest interactions. I rarely leave negative reviews, but people deserve to know what they’re walking into. Until things change, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The location is the only thing this place has going for it, and it was overpriced. My room smelled bad and felt dirty, with sand or some gritty stuff on the sheets. The shower was falling apart, and even though the bathroom had been cleaned, it still felt dirty. Cigarette butts were all over outside; I saw residents tossing them on the ground. People living there would be fine if they took pride in the place, but that wasn’t what I saw. I really wish I’d stayed somewhere else, and even thought about leaving early. The hotel needs a complete revamp, so find another place. My room was next to the permanent residents. My kids were laughing and talking normally on their phones at 7:50 pm when we got a knock from a nervous 10-year-old delivering a noise complaint. We weren’t being loud. I’d noticed our neighbor had been at work all day and had just come home, presumably grumpy. Imagine paying $520 for a terrible family vacation room and having your kids complained about for laughing before 8 pm by a child sent by some lazy parent. What if I’d been crazy? Who sends a child to do that? Please stay somewhere else. I’m trying to help.

We felt safe and welcome, and there were no bugs. The staff were always smiling, friendly, and ready to help. It’s family owned and operated, has lots of parking, and our AC blew cold with room controls. The huge tub was wonderful, especially with more hot water than I’ve ever had at a hotel, so we never ran out. The location is great for town, and the restaurant across the street was outstanding and an easy walk. There’s also after-hours staff if something goes wrong. The room was basic and dated, with stained carpet, fixtures, bed, and shower, and minor damage. It looked cleaned, but not carefully. My husband sat on the couch and got melted chocolate on his clothes from a previous guest. The price was much higher than the room quality, especially because there was an event in town. I’m torn because the good and bad balanced out. If I booked far ahead for a better rate and planned to spend most of my time exploring town and just sleep there, I’d return. For a romantic getaway where we’d spend a lot of time in the room, probably not.

The location was the one good thing. Our first room smelled like cigarettes, the shower was broken, and the rooms were dirty and poorly cleaned. I swear one of the towels had pubic hair on it. For weekend rates, the rooms should be immaculate. There was no smoke detector.
