The room had what we needed for a week, and the resort felt calm and family-friendly. It’s in a peaceful, less crowded part of the island, with excellent beach access, a lovely quiet beach view, and a pool and hot tub we especially enjoyed. There was plenty of parking outside and in the garage, and the two elevators and carts made moving larger items easy. The room’s condition made the stay more stressful than it should have been. The cookware was dated, the dishwasher didn’t fit properly in its cabinet, and the microwave door was falling apart. A large painting looked loose, the futon couldn’t be used because its legs had come off, and the floor was sticky. The glass table looked nice but didn’t feel safe for a family. We also found two cockroaches. One was killed, and the other got under the sink on checkout day. It’s a shame these issues took away from what could have been a promising stay.

Peg Leg Pete's is right across the street, and there are plenty of restaurants within an easy walk of about 1.5 miles. The location is great, directly on the beach, with a nice pool and hot tub. I’d stay there again.

Avari was quick to reply, and we loved having a washer and dryer. The location was great, but a number of things bothered us during our eight-day stay. The property gate was broken for 7 of the 8 days. One kitchen barstool was too wobbly to use, some of the white shower towels had holes, and the main bedroom bathroom sink leaked a little. The couches were very dirty, with hair and stains, so we draped the provided pullout couch sheets over them for the whole visit. We also found food wrappers on the floor beside the main bedroom nightstand when we arrived, which made us question how well the place had been cleaned. Parking was terrible. We couldn’t use the garage because the assigned spot was next to a broken-down car with a flat tire, and the usable spot was taken up by a pillar. It wasn’t workable for trucks. At $4,200 with no compensation, I’m not sure we’d come back, even though the location was great.

We liked that the pool sits right by the beach instead of facing the street. The condo worked really well for our family of five, and I prefer this smaller building to a big high-rise. We also enjoyed walking across the street to peg leg Pete’s.
