DoubleTree by Hilton Helena Downtown

The hotel is right by the pedestrian mall in downtown Helena, with an easy walk to lots of restaurants, shops, souvenir places, and bar & grills. I stayed four nights in Sept 2025 for vacation and would happily return. The whole staff were extra friendly, professional, and helpful. They went above and beyond with little requests every day. My floor's housekeeper was pleasant and got me extra Keurig cups and glasses when I asked. Joy, one of the managers, was often at the front desk and always helpful and accommodating. Chase and Cash drove me when needed and handled hotel pickup and drop-off at the airport in the hotel shuttle. Both were very nice and added to the stay. The rooms were extremely clean and well kept. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

We drove to Helena for a memorial service on the 29th of November and checked in around 6 pm. As soon as we walked into the room, a horrible fish-fry smell coming from the air vent gave us a headache. We asked for another room and were moved to the 7th floor, away from the kitchen, but the air came through the same ventilation unit, so the smell was still there. We couldn't stand it and left without even shutting the door. The person at the front desk didn't seem to care that we weren't staying. I wouldn't recommend this place.

This is my second time staying here. The staff are always really nice, and the place is consistently clean. The location is GREAT for exploring downtown.

A huge shout-out to the GM, John Lytle, for helping our group during a retreat. I panicked when I found out the restaurant where we'd booked wasn't open. John overheard and quickly found us a reservation at another location. He went above and beyond and saved my bacon! The hotel itself is absolutely lovely, and the staff were professional, tidy, and smiley. Thanks so much for accommodating our large group!
