Hampton Inn Helena

Sarah, the desk host, is fabulous, polite, professional, and helpful. It's a very nice, clean hotel, with comfy beds, a nice pool, and good breakfast. I just wish the pool stayed open later than 10 pm. The TV also has no Guide listing what's on. Otherwise, a super place.

The rooms were clean, but there were limited pillows, and that's about the only positive. I've never had a worse experience. The hotel wasn't transparent about its services, and the TV was messed up. We booked the same day as our stay, but they forced us to take the room or get no refund under a policy that wasn't explained or shown anywhere. Then they charged extra to get our room back even though we had made the reservation that same hour. The front desk wouldn't help with the TV. We waited in a line behind five people just to talk to someone in a supervisory position, and those guests were having the same or worse issues. Staff need to communicate better with incoming guests too. The front desk person was on their personal phone, paying no attention or interacting with people arriving. I'm very disappointed and wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. I don't usually leave reviews, but I can't get over the impression it left on us.

The staff were friendly and pleasant, and the room was clean. But the pillows felt like bean bags, and all the LED lights from the clock, fridge, microwave, and night lights made it hard to sleep. The pool area wasn't very nice, and I had to walk to reception to ask for pool towels. That surprised me with all the families staying there. I've stayed at several Hampton hotels over the years, and this location needs a little attention.

We really enjoyed our stay. Sarah was personable and genuine, and the room was nice and clean. Breakfast was great, and our kids and grandkids enjoyed the warm pool and pleasant hot tub. Thanks for a memorable stay!
