Isle of Capri Casino Hotel Lula – A Caesars Rewards Destination

They’ve still got a lot to fix here. The toilet water kept bringing unknown particles back up, even after I flushed repeatedly, and the cleaning was poor, with splatter on the walls and trash under the bed. Calling it renovated seems wrong. Refurbished fits better, since it looks like they mostly painted and maybe replaced the carpet.

Even the non-smoking rooms smelled like blunt wraps and eviction. For anyone under 21, the place feels like prison: you can’t be anywhere unsupervised, whether in the hotel, casino, or restaurant. The restaurant is about a half-mile walk from the rooms, and the casino looks like Chuck E. Cheese in its 1990s prime.

The way they handled this left me feeling like they didn’t care about their patrons. My bank approved and disbursed $200, but the faulty ATM never gave me the cash. Customer service, including the managers, told me to wait 30 minutes for the money to return to my account. More than two hours passed, and nothing came back. When I followed up, they said I’d have to contact the ATM’s owner. That’s not the kind of care or respect I’d expect after a machine at their property took my money.

I stumbled across this casino while driving from Greenville to Tunica. It’s a little out of the way, but I had a really nice time at the Isle, and I’d say the trip was worth it.
