Residence Inn by Marriott Helena

We stayed from Friday through Sunday, and the room itself was alright, though it needed a proper vacuum under the beds and dressers. The bigger issue was having no hot water. When I called, I was told they'd been dealing with the problem for a while. Someone was supposedly working on it, but things hadn't improved by the time we left. Why keep booking rooms when this has been going on without being fixed? This was nothing like my usual Residence Inn stays, which we normally love and rely on.

The staff were lovely, and the coffee was good, but breakfast was only okay and pretty bland. The water from both the sink and the kitchen service tasted really strange. Signs say some rooms will be remodeled soon, which is good, because the room we had showed a lot of wear.

I stayed here on 15 November 2025, and the boiler was broken, leaving us without hot water. No one mentioned that when I checked in. During the night, something they'd sprayed in the room caused an allergic reaction. I only realized in the morning when I looked in the mirror and saw my eyes were completely demon red. I filed an incident report. A manager contacted me on 17 November, then emailed that same day to say it was my fault because I hadn't complained sooner, even though it happened while I was asleep, and because I stayed in the room. If you want to throw your money away, go ahead and stay here. I won't be back. Marriott has lost a 30-year customer.

The room was clean and nice, and the staff were friendly. We were upgraded to a larger room, but it faced the front, with a view of Costco and Tractor Supply. I'd have preferred a view from the back.
