Vagabond Inn Hemet

I come here often, and the owners and housekeeping are very nice and welcoming. The rooms are usually great, but this particular one felt unsafe and really needs to be redone. As soon as I checked in, I checked that everything worked. Everything else seemed fine, but the bathroom ceiling was coming apart and there was water all over the floor by the toilet.

The TV didn’t work, there were cockroaches, and the door wouldn’t latch or lock. Nearby drug addicts could have wandered right in. People in the room above partied all night, so I couldn’t sleep. I asked staff to move me or get them to quiet down, but they did neither. I left at 1:30am to find somewhere better. Since I’d only been there a couple hours and they hadn’t fixed anything, I asked for a refund. They said yes, but told me to call in the morning. When I called at 9am a few hours later, I was rudely told they wouldn’t refund me. Great place if you’re looking to buy or do drugs, but I wouldn’t recommend it for getting any sleep.

When I arrived for my reservation, the woman said the remaining rooms had no hot water. Then she said there was one room with hot water, but its TV was broken. Homeless people were on both sides of the entrance when we came onto the property.

There weren’t any towels. Around 10:15, well before checkout, the owner and another woman barged in and yelled at us that checkout was at 11. Horrible. Don’t give them your business.
