The rooms were spacious, nicely decorated, and scent free. The bathroom was large too, with a standing shower, bathtub, and separate enclosed toilet. We got excellent service, and the food was great. I’d recommend staying with the Hilton if you’re visiting Lake Las Vegas. It was my first visit to Lake Las Vegas, and the Hilton was hosting the competition we were attending. I loved the warm welcome when we came in, but a pungent sewage smell hit me and made me sick to my stomach. The front desk manager said it was a fluke. We might have enjoyed it more if we’d come in spring or summer, since the pool was closed and some local shops and restaurants were closed as well.

The spa is one to avoid. My treatment room was freezing, there was no heated bed, and the massage was mediocre. It wasn’t relaxing or enjoyable, and the expensive service wasn’t worth the cost. I reported the problem, but they couldn’t warm up the room. The staff were pleasant, though. The hotel and room were nice, the room was clean with a beautiful view, and the front desk and all the staff we met were excellent. I don’t recommend the spa services.

The people here were very nice, especially the valet guys. The front desk staff were nice and attentive too, even though they were often on their cell phones when I passed by. I stayed in room 1748 and reported a sewer smell in the hallway on my first night. It wasn’t in my room. I’m a former PE teacher and firefighter, and I know that odor from locker rooms and other settings. I reported it to the front desk several times. This is my third day here and it’s still a problem. Each time, I was told “maintenance was working on it.” Three days of this is unacceptable for almost $800. We were never offered another room or even an apology, just told maintenance was working on it. I expected better from Hilton. I’ll never return, and my review reflects that. I hope they resolve it before anyone develops symptoms or gets sick. This is dangerous. Respectfully, Perri A. Warren

I loved the atmosphere and the older look, and we got an awesome deal. I wish more hotels were like this. There’s also a Starbucks inside, which was yummy, and my toddler loved it. The pool was closed, which was disappointing, but that was okay since there were lots of other cool things to see.

We were there in December for my son’s Lax tournament in Henderson. The kids didn’t mind the heated pool being a little too cold for me, but the slides were closed. The hotel is about 40 minutes from the Strip, so it’s a great choice if that isn’t your focus. It’s a scenic backdrop and looks like a lot of fun for families in summer. We’ll be back then to golf on the championship golf course and enjoy the lake activities and water slides. I really enjoyed relaxing with a cocktail overlooking the lake and golf course. The gym was excellent too, with full racks, free weights, and cardio equipment, pretty much everything for a good pump. The spa looked nice, but I didn’t indulge.
