We found a lot of hair in the shower after we'd already settled in and changed into pajamas. When my friend spilled water while taking off her makeup, she used a washcloth to wipe it up, and the cloth came away black. I let them know, and they offered to move us, but by then we had all our things unpacked. I expected a halfway decent breakfast and a clean room, and didn't get either. Breakfast was orange juice, some kind of muffin, a croissant, coffee, and two cereals, Raisin Bran and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. There was nothing I wanted, like grits or toast. That was about it.

I only needed a room because the power went out at my home, but after this experience I'd rather deal with the cold and no electricity. The rooms weren't much to brag about either: outdated, grimy, and unclean. I found two spiders in the shower, only half the lightbulbs worked, the miniature TV remote was broken, and breakfast was cereal and stale muffins. I booked one night at the counter the previous evening with no issue. A sweet girl said I didn't need a deposit because I was booking directly at the hotel, and that I might be able to pay cash for another night once her drawer was fixed. When I tried to extend in the morning, I was told that since the ice storm seemed over, they wouldn't take locals from within 100 miles. Their driveway was so slick with ice my car rolled. I was also told they don't take cash at all and always require the $50 deposit, even when booking at the counter. The older lady behind the counter smirked and wouldn't look me in the eye while saying it. I've never heard such ridiculous, hostile rules for a hotel. I wish I'd known before giving them my business. They obviously don't like business.

The toilet didn't work, and when we called the front office, they said our choices were to plunge it ourselves or check out. There were bugs in the room, a real grape in the sink drain, stained bedding with cigarette burn holes, and hair throughout the room that wasn't ours. We also heard banging from different places in the hotel all night. At the front desk, the woman kept hassling us about having pets even though we told her multiple times we had none. For what the stay costs, the “savings” aren't worth it. Just go somewhere else.

My daughter and I stayed for one night over the weekend, and it was very disappointing. The room was not clean. It looked like nobody had cleaned behind the bathroom door or toilet, and I don't think the floors had been cleaned recently either. There was a large red stain at the bottom of the bathroom door, plus mystery stains on the walls, lampshades, and towels. This is not a $100 room. The website pictures are old and very misleading. I'm glad we were only there for one night. Don't be misled by the photos.

We checked in around 9pm and were told the charge was $10 per dog. I have two dogs and had to sign a form listing them so the maid wouldn't just walk in. Checkout was at 11am, but at 9am the maid walked right into the room without knocking. The front desk said, “Oh well, should have had the dead bolt on,” and were very rude, telling us to just leave. Then I checked my bank account and saw they had charged me $50 for the dogs. I'm very, very unhappy.
