The place smelled awful, and there was mud all down the hallway when I left. I want a full refund. This hotel is horrendous, and rooms clearly not in serviceable condition shouldn't be rented. I clearly asked not to be put in a handicap room. In room 116 the TV didn't work. The desk clerk spent 10 minutes trying and couldn't fix it, then offered to move me, which I accepted. The next room, 104, was a handicap room, exactly what I said I didn't want. The remote was covered in big chunks of caramel candy, so many that I couldn't press the buttons. I had to try to wash it off with a towel. The shower had a handheld handicap setup, and the handle wouldn't stay up on its own. You have to hold it the whole time, leaving one hand to wash yourself.

The staff were very friendly, and the place was clean and comfortable. They had a hot breakfast each morning with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, made-to-order pancakes, instant oatmeal, and more.

The front desk person was very nice, but our family's stay with friends for a softball tournament was a mess. We checked into a room that hadn't been cleaned. The cleaning ladies said it wasn't on either of their schedules, an honest mistake, so we left our bags and waited downstairs for 30 minutes while it was cleaned. When we came back, our laundry soap and a box of ice packs for the girls were gone. My husband reported it at the desk, and after 45 minutes they found and returned the items. When the hotel replied to my email, they basically just said sorry I wasn't happy with my stay. Someone tried to steal from us! Stay at your own risk and don't leave anything in the room you don't want taken. On Saturday night a man came in yelling loudly at an employee about a wet floor. That was unprofessional and not an appropriate way to handle it.

We've been staying here for about two months for work, and it's the best hotel in Hereford. The rooms are clean and nice, though getting them cleaned and getting towels is difficult when my wife sleeps in. The night guy, Ernest Ortiz, treats us great and goes above and beyond. He always says to ask if we need anything. Food is within walking distance too.

The morning breakfast was a nice touch and had what I needed to get the day started. The room was spotless and comfortable, which made the stay relaxing. From the moment I walked into the Holiday Inn Express in Hereford, the staff were friendly and welcoming. I had a fantastic stay and will definitely come back next time I'm in town!
