Budget Inn Herkimer

I'm at a very low point in my life, and the woman here has treated me with nothing but respect. She's kind and patient, and the room is clean. The staff have all been kind and honorable. Thank you.

For a tired, sweaty cyclist, it did the job. The room was clean and basic, with fresh linoleum instead of carpet, a strong hot shower, and an AC unit that cooled things down fast. It was small, but totally fine for the $75. The hallway upstairs was around 90 degrees and smelled a bit off, and the concrete-block building looks rough outside and in the entrance. The desk woman was very nice, though. I was riding the Erie Canalway Trail, feeling hot and miserable, and just needed any room. Red Roof was full, so I came here. Joe's Pizza is right next door and it's GREAT.

After a car accident left me stranded in new York on my own, they helped me out when I couldn't use my phone to transfer money and gave me a deal. They also let my damaged car sit there for five days without towing it, until the insurance company could come get it. I really appreciate the generosity and help while I was stuck. Thank you so much.

The rooms were surprisingly nice, even though they're small, and service was quick and friendly. The location is handy, right off the NYS Throughway, though it's right on the road. This is one of those places where the outside can fool you. Excellent!
