Red Roof Inn & Suites Herkimer

We had a really pleasant stay and would return. The price was affordable, parking was easy with plenty of spaces, and the TV had lots of channels and movies through Spectrum. Our room was comfortable, the bed slept well, and everything smelled fresh and clean. There were no bugs. The lobby, check-in area, and dining room were all spotless and organized. Breakfast had a good range: bagels, English muffins, fruit, cereal, jams, cream cheese, butter, hard-boiled eggs, orange and apple juice, milk, granola bars, chocolate and blueberry muffins, and French vanilla, hazelnut, and regular creamers. The coffee was surprisingly good. My girlfriend usually has one cup in the morning, but here she had three. The toasters had clear instructions, too. Breakfast staff kept everything stocked, cleaned tables, greeted people with a friendly good morning, and asked how they could improve the experience. The staff were attentive and clearly cared about guests. Thanks especially to Laura, who talked us through future stays and suggested the Red Roof membership and mobile app. From the moment we walked in, everything felt welcoming and well looked after.

We booked late at night and the front desk staff got us checked in quickly and were incredibly friendly. The room was spacious and clean, the shower had great pressure, and the temperature was comfortable. We had plenty of space to park our U-haul overnight, and the price was affordable. The TVs were easy to use, and there's a Dennys in the same lot. It's easy to reach off I-90. Thanks for a good night's rest!

We arrived very late, and the energetic, friendly man at the desk welcomed us, pointed us clearly to our room, and wished us a good night's sleep and breakfast. The room was very clean and had a small kitchen area. Local menus were available in the lobby, which was convenient. I'd recommend this place. Our gluten free daughter couldn't eat the breakfast, so we had to go elsewhere that morning. If they'd added hard-boiled eggs, she could have eaten there.

I've stayed at this location many times on trips to upstate NY, and it's always welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and our dog likes that it's pet-friendly. Looking forward to coming back. Keep up the great work! - Christine
