Hermann House Inn

After finding this charming, clean, unfussy little hotel, we stopped staying anywhere else. The location is perfect, the beds are comfortable and smell fresh, and the back porch is a lovely place to enjoy the atmosphere of Hermann with a glass of Hermann wine. It makes a great getaway in any season. I can’t wait to return!

We booked a last-minute weekend in Hermann, Missouri, just before Thanksgiving, and Hermann House Inn was one of the few B&Bs with rooms available. The suite was much better than I expected, with a living room, eat-in kitchen, full bath, and separate bedroom. It was clean and comfortable. The hosts were very accommodating and checked whenever they saw us to ask if we needed anything. Before we left, the hostess offered to show us a few other suites, just as nice or even nicer than ours. After we got home, we realized we’d left a tablet in the room. The hosts went out of their way to get it to a family member who lived halfway between Hermann and our home. That person contacted me to arrange a meetup, and we got our tablet back thanks to all their effort. We’ll definitely return to the Hermann House Inn.

Chris and Laura made what could’ve been a stressful arrival feel easy. After we got to town, we realized the motel booked for us wouldn’t work, and with no car and every place we called full, we were stuck. The woman at the Hermann Chamber of Commerce was so kind, called back about an hour later, and suggested Hermann House. Chris even drove us back to collect our bags and brought us to the house. The room was lovely, and our hosts’ hospitality was just as good. My sister and I were in Hermann for her birthday weekend, a gift her sons had arranged online. I’d happily stay here on another trip and recommend it.

We’ve only been here once, so I can’t speak to the other rooms, but ours was really nice. It was spotless, with a modern kitchen tucked into a cool little space. The owners were incredibly kind, professional, and accommodating. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
