We barely slept, and we had a ten-hour drive ahead of us the next day. Guests were roaming the halls and playing music or TV until 2 a.m. When we raised it with the front desk, the woman there said she couldn’t do anything. The thermostats also wouldn’t let us run the fan, so we heard everyone’s noise. There were stains on floors throughout the hotel, and the party atmosphere was obvious in the parking lot, with people arriving in swimsuits carrying alcohol and using the pool and hot tub on day passes. Our room was okay and the sheets looked clean. Walmart is nearby, with a few places to eat, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you need to sleep.

I’m back here a few times each year because it’s a good budget stay. The pool is huge and the hot tub is great. Things are always clean, though some rugs and furniture are worn and could use updating. The staff are friendly and helpful every time. Mark at the front desk deserves a special mention, he went out of his way to make our stay as good as possible.

The pool and hot tub were fantastic, and the waffles were the best part of an otherwise okay breakfast. We chose this place for its proximity to Splash Lagoon, and the two women at the front desk were lovely. Our room had two queen beds and was decent, though I found them a little hard and the feather pillows got lumpy. The price was amazing and included Splash wristbands. To book that package, you have to use the Splash site rather than Country Inn directly. I’d recommend staying here.

When I arrived to check in today, I learned the pool’s Hoyer lift was broken again. I use a wheelchair and chose this hotel because of that lift. I’d stayed before with my family, and the lift wasn’t working then either, though my relatives could lift me in and out of the pool. We were promised it would be repaired and maintained better so this wouldn’t happen again to me or anyone else who needs it. This time I didn’t have extended family with me to help transfer me, and I was crushed to miss swimming again. I don’t get many chances to enjoy something as simple as a swim that most people can do. I’m extremely disappointed with this hotel.
