We only needed a place to sleep for one night, and at $69 plus tax it wasn't too bad. The room was fairly clean, the service was good, and it had a flat-screen TV with cable. The beds were firm, but not uncomfortable. It's a small, apparently family-run motel with just 13 rooms. There was that familiar motel smell when we walked in. With it around 95 degrees outside, the AC struggled to cool the room, which was the main drawback.

The shower was fine, but the hard, very firm mattress may not suit everyone. Since the motel is right along the road, light sleepers will hear the traffic, and you can also hear TVs from other rooms. It wasn't dirty as far as I could tell, just dingy and run-down. For a one-night stay, it was barely tolerable, and I didn't think it was worth the money.

We booked a king bed, but accepted two queens because that was what they had available. The beds were comfortable enough, the room was clean, and the place was quiet for the night. We arrived at 8 p.m.; the family who runs it had already gone home, but came back to check us in. The shower had strong water pressure, though the hot water ran out after a few minutes. Nothing seems to have been updated since the motel was built in the 1970s: it still has metal keys, wood paneling, and old fluorescent bathroom lights. The outdoor trash cans were overflowing. It felt so dilapidated, and the service was questionable enough, that I wouldn't stay again.

We arrived expecting a room we'd booked three days earlier, but the woman at the desk said they were fully booked and that one room had a problem. When we went into it, the room was around 100 degrees and water covered the floor. She never apologized and kept lying to us. She should have told us before we got there that we'd have nowhere to sleep. We were left without a place for the night. At 1 in the morning, we finally found a very nice hotel that took us in. We'd been in town to see a concert, and this was the worst motel I've ever visited.

I worked there and have proof that black mold in rooms was covered with new wood during renovations. The new owners and management knew about black mold, lead paint, and asbestos, but didn't close the motel. Staff were moved to different rooms without being told about the hazards. They also accepted a family with two babies, whose lungs were still developing, despite knowing how dangerous it was. It's disgusting and evil, and the owners should be ashamed and sued. You will get sick if you stay there, mark my words. Despite claims that they renovated, the same moldy old furniture and mattresses with bed bugs are still there, just as they were before. Stay at your own peril.
