Spark by Hilton Hershey Near the Park

This was the best Spark experience we’ve had. The room was comfortable, very clean, safe, and had no bad smells. Staff were friendly and breakfast was outstanding. We paid only $70 in the off season, so it was a great value for such a wonderful stay. We’ll be back!

We made a spontaneous trip to Hershey and arrived during an ice storm. Check-in was quick and efficient, and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Our double queen room was clean and roomy, with plenty of space for two adults and our 12-year-old twins, especially thanks to the couch and tables. The purified water station for bottles was great, though I made a mess and Gloria Beaver, the night attendant, cleaned it up right away. She was courteous, friendly, and quick to help when we had a couple of questions later. Thank you, Gloria!

Staff were friendly and professional, and the beds were comfortable as expected. The hotel was clean, and I slept well even though we left early. Reserving online with a credit card didn't stop me from having to pay at the desk, and the digital key wasn't available. Check-in was still easy, and I could check out digitally while having continental breakfast. The elevator is in the middle of the hallway, and there’s a side door that made it easy for our service dog to get outside without disturbing anyone. I really liked that.

The hotel is new, though the AC unit is old and works only when it feels like it. The place was well kept and clean, with lots of parking and a convenient location. Breakfast was nicely set out, but there weren't many protein choices. The rooms aren't soundproof: even on the first floor, far from the front desk, I could hear people talking through my door. Morning customer service wasn't great. Staff seemed to take smoke breaks every 10 minutes, two feet from the entrance. Don't forget the free cookies!
