The lodge’s rustic warmth made it feel like home as soon as I walked in. It’s intimate without feeling small, and peaceful without feeling cut off. I loved the cozy spots around the property: the balcony over the water, a quiet back porch, a charming loft, and a warm den with rocking chairs and a grand fireplace. The whole place was spotless and beautifully kept, and the service was impeccable. Lake Chatuge Lodge has a breathtaking view of the lake beside the mountains. It felt peaceful, romantic, and unforgettable, like a postcard. Local eateries and outdoor activities are close by, so it’s easy to spend the day exploring and come back to somewhere comfortable. I can’t wait to return, though part of me wants to keep it my little secret.

For the price, this old-school lodge is clean and comfortable, and the lake view is fantastic. Every room has its own balcony. The breakfast is the one weak point: it’s mostly carbs, with no hot options, so head into town if you want protein in the morning.

The lobby and deck make lovely places to gather, especially with the huge fireplace, and the staff are wonderful. Breakfast is standard hotel fare. The furnishings are simple and dated, but they give the property some charm. The building and rooms are clean, though the room carpets are dirty and need replacing.

The bed wasn’t the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, but the location and price made the stay worthwhile. I loved how homey and welcoming the lobby felt. I usually don’t hang out in a lobby, but this one drew me in, and the lake looks beautiful from there.

It’s convenient to have restaurants and shops nearby, and the lobby fireplace is a lovely place to sit with a drink and relax. The place is extremely quiet and the views are really beautiful. They offer continental breakfast every day, though I wish there were a hot option. We really enjoyed our stay.
