Mary was such a great hostess, and the quiet, clean room gave me the peaceful night I needed. I came to Hiawatha, Kansas on September 25 for a funeral and had never heard of either Hiawatha or FairBridge Inn Express. I chose it because it was close to the service. From the outside I was a little unsure, but Mary welcomed me right away, and the small-town hospitality won me over. The furniture is dated and there aren’t many amenities, though that’s a very small town. The room felt tucked away and was exceptionally clean. I’d recommend it to a tired traveler looking for a quiet night.

We loved our room, especially the reclining leather chairs and the relaxing shower. Mary and her husband were so kind, and Mary made sure we had what we needed and was very accommodating. My husband and I would recommend staying here for a cozy getaway or a quick trip, and we’ll definitely come back.

Mary and her husband were incredibly sweet, and the customer service was first-rate. We were in town for a wedding and are glad we gave this family-run place a try and supported local residents. The spacious room was lovely, newly remodeled, and clean, with a very comfortable bed and a big fridge. Mary and her husband have turned an old, rundown hotel into a gem. We’ll be back next time we visit family.

The remodeling looks beautiful and makes the place feel welcoming, and the price was good. My family stayed here for Thanksgiving. Mary and Mike, the owners, were pleasant and attentive; our rooms were quiet and clean, with comfortable beds and everything we needed. I’d happily recommend the Hiawatha Fairbridge.

Mary and Mike at the front desk made the place feel like home. Everyone working there was so sweet, and the rooms were comfortable and very clean. I loved staying here and will come back whenever I’m in town.
