Best Western Hickory

A major car problem forced us to stay an extra night, and everyone here was kind and gracious while we were dealing with a stressful situation. The lobby gave us a comfortable place to wait, and despite everything going on, we had a lovely stay. The staff were wonderful.

After a racing event, I got a good night’s sleep here. It was quiet, the lock worked, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, though it smelled a little musty and the decor wasn’t great. Breakfast is complimentary, with coffee, juice, cereal, fruit, and pastries.

We came back after staying here on the first stop of our honeymoon last year. The staff went out of their way to get us the same room, and it was lovely to see John again. He checked us in last year and was so patient taking pictures of us in the lobby. We’ll be back next year!

The manager, who I think was named Kelly, turned one of the worst nights of our lives into a much better one. She made us feel at home, and the staff were truly incredible. I’ve stayed at plenty of luxury hotels, but I’ve never been treated this well.
