Hampton Inn Hickory

We had a great stay and will definitely come back. Sam and David were awesome, and Mike was lovely to chat with over breakfast. The staff were friendly throughout, and there was a hot breakfast with different choices each morning. Checkout at 12 came with no extra fee, and the fresh baked cookies in the middle of the day were delicious. We were there after traveling a long way and dealing with our AC going out for the weekend, so the warm welcome meant a lot. Renovations meant the Hampton Inn pool was unavailable, but we could use the pool next door if we wanted. 10/10.

Slept great, with no noise at night. The room was freshly renovated, roomy, and had a large comfortable bed and a nice big TV. Friendly staff too. We stayed for the first time last night and will be back in a month. This is our new go-to in town.

The bed and pillows made for a very uncomfortable night. The mattress was hard with no give or padding, and the supposed feather pillows were flat and hard, with no loft. I specifically choose Hiltons for their usual bedding, and this wasn't at all what I expect from the brand. The room was clean, with a good-sized flat screen TV, and Travis at the desk was accommodating. The location was handy for restaurants and the furniture mart. Renovations were underway, so there was no food or amenities because of the first-floor work, which was okay with me. The rooms had already been done during my stay, but I couldn't really judge the service overall. For me, a quiet, clean room and a comfortable bed matter most, and I wouldn't stay again.

Travis was especially helpful and went above and beyond, which made our visit better. Even with the renovations, the Hampton was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely come back.
