Parking was easy right outside our door, and even though the motel is just off the highway, we slept well. The room was spotless when we arrived Saturday afternoon, the bed was comfortable, the AC worked well, and the bathroom was freshly cleaned with hot water. The front desk person was friendly and got us checked in quickly. I used to book fancier hotels, but for an overnight stop I just want clean and affordable, and this place did the job. It’s well maintained for a budget motel, and we paid a lot less than at the chain hotels nearby while still getting what we needed. For road trips, this kind of simple, reliable place is what I’ll choose now over overpriced hotels.

The man at the front desk was rude and kept talking over me on the phone. I live far away, and had booked a room under my own name for a homeless relative who is mentally disabled. I had the confirmation and PIN numbers, but he didn’t care and told me to change the reservation through Booking. I was in the middle of doing that when my relative went outside to get her charger. While we were still on the phone, he followed her to the door, shut it in her face, and told her to have a good night. The room was nonrefundable, and he knew we were actively trying to edit the booking so she could stay. Horrible service. He should be fired.

We left without staying because the room was so dirty, and the surroundings felt a little sketchy. The first room had stained beds, a strong smoke smell even though it was on the non-smoking side, and a dirty floor. When we asked about a refund, the desk person said no but offered another room. That one was just as bad, with hair in the sink and a faucet that looked like it hadn’t been wiped in a month. Really disappointing.

My room was broken into while I was away at the massage shop next door. The owner gave me leering, sexual looks and then asked if I had a boyfriend. Please be careful, and don’t bring your kids here.

The staff are friendly and give you room to enjoy your stay without constantly bothering you. Cars can get vandalized here, as they can at any hotel, and busy areas are no different.
