Towneplace Suites By Marriott Hickory

I feel so lucky we were the first customers after they opened. It was adorable, amazingly clean, and a great price. I'm so impressed and grateful to them, thank y'all so much!

The rooms were clean and the place itself is beautiful. I wouldn't recommend it for families with kids, though. At the pool, a much older couple made rude comments to my younger kids, who are 5 and 8. They were staying in one spot and weren't especially loud. They're sweet, respectful kids who were just trying to enjoy their time. People don't need to be so rude.

The room was a little small for a suite, but the layout made it feel comfortable rather than cramped. I liked the storage, especially the racks with an automatic closet light, the drop-zone shelves, and the large shower. USB outlets meant I didn't need to carry charging bricks around, and the extra blankets were nice with the firm but comfortable bed. The new hotel was great overall, with friendly, accommodating staff. The indoor pool is saltwater, and the gym is spacious. Breakfast was very good, especially the spinach and cheese bites, which beat Starbucks by far. There were lots of tea choices too. I'd recommend it and stay again.
