I was charged twice the pet fee because, according to Sophia, I hadn’t told the hotel my pets were there. But the booking page said the room I thought I reserved was pet friendly. She was rude and talked down to me when I tried to explain. The next morning, the supervisor didn’t seem interested in what had happened and couldn’t help. She took my number after I asked to speak with the owners and said they’d call, but nobody did. There was a problem with the room, too. I booked through my T- mobile portal and chose a room shown with a hot tub, but at check-in I was given one without it. The receptionist said I’d booked a different room, even though the online photo and description said otherwise. After I went to a concert next door and left my pets in the room, I came back to an aggressive note telling me to go to reception ASAP!!! There I was told the hotel did NOT allow pets and that they had disturbed other guests by barking the whole time. I doubt they barked the whole time I was away. I wouldn’t stay here again. The hotel didn’t seem professional or accommodating.

The TV gave us trouble, but Aileene kindly moved us to another room. The place was really clean, and you could smell the fabuloso as soon as we walked in. It was quiet and close to the mall.

The area was quiet, which I personally loved, though there isn’t anything right around the property. Mexico is a short drive away, and shops and restaurants are only a few minutes out. The front desk staff were super friendly and knew the area well. They made me feel welcome.

Breakfast was the worst I’ve had at any place I’ve stayed. There was nothing hot, not even the coffee. The website pictures show a waffle maker, juice machine, and fresh fruit, but all I found was cereal, toast, and some kind of fake orange juice. I’m going to try to post their picture alongside what’s actually here. The non-smoking room was okay, but it still smelled.

We stayed four nights in August in a business room with a king bed, and the website had given us a very different impression. The online photos showed a spacious room with a sofa and coffee maker, but neither was there. The breakfast they say they offer amounted to coffee, juice, cereal, and toast. When we brought this up at the front desk, they weren’t helpful and offered no fix or discount. It was disappointing to find that the stay didn’t match what the advertising led us to expect. I wouldn’t recommend Super8 Hotel to others because it felt like a bait-and-switch. Management should update the site’s pictures and descriptions so they’re accurate.
