The owner was so welcoming and patient when we struggled with something as simple as opening a door. We felt a little silly about it, but they helped us sort it out without making a fuss. The rooms are roomy and comfortable, too. Snow Frills Motel is a real hidden gem. Thanks for the hospitality, and blessings for 2026.

Room 5 had a half-inch gap around the door, so it felt like critters could get in. The floors were filthy, and there were bugs everywhere. Lots of them.

We paid around $150-160 a night plus taxes, which felt steep for a motel. There’s no pool, but there is a picnic and corn-hole area in the middle of the grounds. I wondered if a pool used to be there. The place is clearly old, though it’s been fixed up nicely. Our room was updated and comfortable, with a comfy king bed and decent bedding. The bathroom is small but works fine. The in-wall window AC was off when we arrived, so the room was about 100 degrees. It took around an hour to cool down. It’s handy for downtown and the nearby springs, including Ginnie, Ichetucknee, Poe, and Kirby. We liked the old park-like motel setup right outside the room. A little kitschy, but quiet and comfortable, and a reasonable option for a visit to High Springs. Try the Banana Pudding Martini at Great Outdoors.

The older roadside-motel feel is exactly what makes this place appealing. It’s not perfect, but that’s part of the charm. I’ve been recommending it to family and friends since the new owners opened after renovations in 2023. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean, and you can park right outside. There are larger rooms for families as well as basic king and queen options.
