Days Inn by Wyndham Hillsdale

This is the only hotel in Hillsdale, a college town and thriving community, but nobody should have to trust a reservation here. On three occasions I tried to stay and was turned away. The first time, I booked online and got confirmation, but when I arrived they said they had no rooms and didn't honor online bookings. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. I contacted the hotel asking to speak with the manager or owner and never got a call back. The second time, I called directly and reserved a room an hour before arriving during a snowstorm. The next closest hotel was about an hour away. At the desk, they said their computer was down and they couldn't check me in, so they turned me away in the storm. The third time, I called at 1:25 a.m. and clearly gave my check-in and check-out dates. That evening, they said my reservation was in the system but had been entered for the previous day, making me a no-show. I had my confirmation number. Reception said the person who entered it had made a mistake, and again there was no room. I had to drive two hours home in the middle of the night, then return to town five hours later. I called the hotline six times and asked Wynd to call me back, but got no customer service. I left my name and number with the hotel and heard nothing. This business is a disgrace. Nobody should be left stranded in the middle of the night or during a snowstorm.
