We found this place on a road trip when we needed a room for the night, and it exceeded our expectations. The staff were kind and friendly, even with our very late check-in. The rooms were really nice, with comfortable beds and pillows, and the shower and bathroom were so clean. The whole place was spotless and smelled good. Breakfast was free and fantastic, and there's a small snack bar for drinks or snacks at check-in, plus a pool. No pets or smoking allowed, which was a big plus for us. Thanks for a wonderful stay! :)

We've stayed at the Holiday Inn in Hillsville, VA many times, and our recent visit stood out because of the staff. Skyler at the front desk was a very nice young man, and Holly was lovely to us at checkout. Frida and Melissa had everything ready in the breakfast area and clearly take pride in their work. Our room met our expectations, and we're looking forward to coming back when we're in the area. I'm grateful to all of them.

There was construction going on, but it didn't inconvenience us. The room had that new smell, including the new carpet, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. Staff weren't especially friendly, but they weren't rude either.

Monica and Shasta from housekeeping were so helpful and did a great job. Sherry and the evening front desk employee were amazing too. The whole place was extremely clean, organized, and professional. I'd recommend this Holiday Inn and stay here again when I'm back in the area.

On day two, the WiFi was still down. I thought I'd swim to pass the time before work, but the pool was short on water by at least 2-3 feet all the way around, and the temperature was around 60-70, so it was very cold. The pool room itself was nice and cozy, but don't be fooled. The worst part was being woken every few hours by what sounded like a vacuum outside my door.
