Quality Inn Clinton - Knoxville North

We’ve usually stayed here when visiting the area, but we won’t come back after finding bedbugs. The front desk was really nice and gave us a refund, but acted like this was pretty normal. We will not stay here again.

The breakfast was disappointing, with no jelly for toast, Danish, muffins, or fresh fruit. There was yogurt if you like strawberry. We’ve been Choice Hotels members for years, but hadn’t stayed at a Quality Inn in a while. If this is their service standard, we won’t return. Our first room smelled terrible, like a damp, moldy basement, and the bathroom light didn’t work. A friendly man at the desk offered to move us. The new room smelled a little better, but its bathroom fan was loud and came on with the light. The TV also wasn’t connected, though my husband fixed it, and we listened to the fan all night. When we mentioned the problems at checkout, the desk clerk had no response. This place needs a maintenance person.

I booked the room from Thursday through Saturday and checked in at noon Thursday. By 11 AM Friday, they were banging on my door and telling me to leave. They said my time was up because I’d checked in on news Thursday. I argued with a woman at the front desk, and she was going to call the police, so I lost a whole night I’d paid for. What a joke.

Clean and quiet, with good service. They politely told us breakfast ended at nine, but I wish it stayed open a little later. That’s the only reason I’d take off a star.
