It’s a beautiful place with a peaceful setting, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Randy Presmy greeted us warmly and worked hard to help with our luggage and car keys. My colleague and I really appreciated how he handled everything. Thanks so much, Randy. Keep up the good work.

We really enjoyed our stay this year, just as we did last year, and had planned to keep coming back every year. But three days after checkout, we were hit with $390 in unexplained “fees.” I called and was told the charge would be refunded since nobody had told us about it beforehand. Only $180 came back, leaving us still owed $110. I’m guessing $100 was for parking, which we knew about, but that still doesn’t account for the extra $290. We paid $2300 for the room, so another charge of nearly $400 is absurd. We’ve emailed twice asking for an explanation in writing and heard nothing. Last year there were no such charges. It’s a shame, but after this we probably won’t return.

The view was breathtaking, and my room was beautiful and very clean. I was impressed as soon as I drove up, and a polite, professional gentleman greeted me at the front door, opened it, and offered to help. At check-in, the gentleman assisting me was very nice and even offered a free upgrade because it was my first visit. This will be my monthly getaway destination.

We were given a full ocean view room on an upper floor thanks to Anais, and the service was outstanding. Watching the sunrise while walking the beach was spectacular. I’m a road warrior, and we stayed at the property Dec 17 on vacation. I’d happily stay again and am still giving it five stars, but the manager should take the maintenance and communication issues seriously. The lock on the outer entrance door shared by two adjacent rooms, including ours, wasn’t working because it had apparently been forced at some point. Also, the restaurant was supposed to be closed for breakfast due to low winter occupancy, though enough guests arrived the night before that it did open that morning. The property should post a notice in the HH app when main breakfast options may not be available. There’s a cafe with simple breakfast sandwiches to go, but guests need clear information. I told the front desk this, so other guests aren’t caught off guard.
