Holiday Inn Express Hilton Head Island by IHG

Tamara and Careen were especially cheerful, and everyone we dealt with was great. When my daughter left her NorthFace jacket, worth over $200, Tamara coordinated with housekeeping to find it and had it shipped within an hour. My kids loved the stay, and we'll return to the same hotel next time we're in HH. We spent four days there over Thanksgiving 2025 with two families and teens. The hotel was clean, the breakfast had plenty of options, and we enjoyed the hospitality and the location near the beach, restaurants, and parks. The $10 parking fee felt high for an open lot, and I think it could be included in the room price.

What makes this hotel five stars for me is the breakfast. Rooms can vary from one hotel to another, but breakfast matters a lot, including whether the food is natural. This place serves one of the best breakfasts. If it were like the breakfast I've seen at other hotels, I'd rate it three stars.

The stay itself was lovely. Our room was clean, breakfast was good, and the location was great for our two nights, 11/14-11/16. But management's lack of response has been very disappointing. Our car was hit in the parking lot in a hit-and-run on checkout day. We've been trying to get management to call us back about reviewing the security camera footage. It's been nine days with no call. We have family moving to Hilton Head and would have stayed here again, but we expected management to cooperate with the investigation.

The staff were nice, but water from a leak at the balcony door left the floor soaking wet. Housekeeping was also vacuuming loudly at 8:00am during quiet hours. That's a rough way to wake up on vacation.
