Plum Point Lodge

We were there for my cousin's wedding, and Plum Point Lodge made a lovely venue. Mike the GM welcomed us with a great overview of the room and property, and seemed to be involved in every part of hospitality, even serving brunch. Sapalta was handy for all our meals, and the food was delicious. My poached egg was just right, soft and jammy, and Lisa at the bar got my boyfriend, who usually only drinks wine, trying mixed drinks he ended up loving. I stayed in the main cabin-type room, which had a slightly damp smell, probably from being right by the lake. It's a charming little lodge, with motel-style rooms and a couple of yurts along the waterfront. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting the FLX area.

The morning shower had no hot water. The desk clerk wouldn't let us use a different room's shower and said nothing could be done until the handyman came in for his shift. I wrote to the front desk manager asking for compensation for the trouble, but never heard back. Things had been great up to that point.

We had a great brunch and plan to come back. Our updated room looked out over the lake, and the location was convenient for both the wineries and the water.

My fiance and I visited because we were considering this venue for our wedding, and we liked it. But two weeks later, when we called to go over details, they didn't remember our visit. We kept texting for pricing and more information, and were promised emails with prices that never came. None of our calls or texts got a response. It was brutal and felt very unprofessional and disorganized. We eventually gave up and found a better venue with more professional staff. THINK TWICE BEFORE BOOKING FOR A WEDDING
