I ended up staying three nights after being booked here for two weeks for work and asking to be moved. The clerk was apologetic and moved me when my first room was filthy, with vomit and other bodily fluids on the walls and curtains, dirty floors, and a sickly sweet deodorizer smell covering it up. The fridge and desk chair were broken too. The next room was a little better, since there was no vomit in the main bedroom, but it still had stained curtains, filthy floors that turned my socks black, urine and vomit splatter by the toilet, and a moldy, dirty shower. The chair was broken there as well. Getting into the room was a hassle every day. The clerk warned me at check-in that the keycards didn't work well and should be kept away from phones and electronics, and sure enough, I needed a new key each day. One towel had holes and brown-black smears on it. The nearest outside door had a broken-off handle, so after the front doors were locked at night, the only way in was around the other side. I also saw that broken door propped open every evening when I walked around, and the clerk didn't seem concerned when I mentioned it. There were odd signs warning guests not to take things from rooms. I jokingly asked if I should provide an inventory, and was told I could if I wanted. Police were there on the second day, though I don't know why. The elevator needs service. It sometimes stops two or three inches above the floor, or below it, which makes access difficult. I reported it and the front desk said they'd tell management. The room itself was big, but had no seating or coffee table, just a bed, a wobbly desk, a bench, and a broken desk chair. The TV stand with the fridge and coffee maker was also broken, so its door and top drawer wouldn't close. There were only two outlets, and the closet had three hangers, one broken. I checked the mattress and it was newer and fairly comfortable. There was dirt and fuzzy buildup around the AC, and the courtyard rooms had lots of pigeons and pigeon poop. The pool wasn't open, and the hot tub had been out of order for a long time, with the clerk saying the owners weren't in a hurry to fix it. With the room cleanliness this bad, I can't believe the 4/5 ratings are real. The comfortable bed and kind reception were the only good parts for me. I included photos for reference.

I liked the pillows and having the suite split into separate rooms, though it was annoying that the bathroom could only be reached through the room that closes off. The keycards demagnetized easily, but the man at the front desk was quick to help. The real problem was what happened to my clothes. I left four things in the closet: a jacket, a little girl's dress, a woman's shirt, and pants. I called six hours after checkout to ask whether housekeeping had found them. They told me cleaning wasn't finished for the night and to call the next day. When I called back, I was told nothing had been turned in, tough luck. No one offered to check the closet after the current guest checked out in case housekeeping had missed it. I just got, “Ma'am it shows they cleaned the room, and we were fully booked last night, so I don't know what to tell you.” Happy Valentine's Day.

I was done after seeing the mattresses. When I pulled back the covers, both beds had piles of debris that looked like black sesame or coriander seeds, maybe cheese, along with short and long curly black hairs. Nothing was moving, but I couldn't tell what it was, and I wasn't taking a chance that any of it was alive. We tried another room after my parents thought the first might have been a one-off from an extended-stay guest. The staff changed rooms quickly and were courteous, but the second beds were just as bad, with a huge stain and more of the same debris. My parents stayed because it didn't seem to be moving and they were tired. I took my son and left for another hotel. Now we're home spending the Christmas holiday sanitizing and freezing everything in our luggage. The mattresses should have covers, and there's no excuse for them being that dirty. The lobby looked clean and made a good first impression, but at 8 p.m. they said our room hadn't been cleaned. Since we had used points, we had to manually sign for another room. They sent us toward the back, where loud music and a party were going on in a reception hall. The outside doors near our room were propped open with rocks. The room had a crumbling chair, dirty walls, crusty carpet, dirt and flies in the drawers, and a dirty bathroom. As we crossed the building to switch rooms, the hall floors were dirty and the walls were bubbled, scraped, and stained. It looked like cleaning had been neglected throughout the property. Yuck.

The staff were wonderful and breakfast was great, plus the location worked well for us. Our room was clean, and both king beds were really comfortable. I'd stay here again.

I slept well here. The staff were great, the room was spotless, and the bed was comfortable. There was a good range of entertainment, too. I'll stay again when work brings me back to town.
